Q: The program does not start after re-installation. A message about a mistake in and corruption of the .LNG file appears. (for version 1.0.27)
Reason: The system did not delete the old database file – PhoneGate.db during the de-installation process.
Answer:
a) Check whether the PhoneGate’s plug-in is used as the Main (Today) screen. If yes, switch it off – change to any Windows Today screen.
b) Delete PhoneGate.db file in the folder \Program Files\PhoneGate, or delete the entire PhoneGate folder with all of the content.
c) Repeat installation from PhGate****.CAB.
Q: What is my Smartphone or Pocket PC Owner Name?
Reason: Often the seller requires your Smartphone or Pocket PC Owner Name (Owner ID) in order to generate an Activation code for registration.
Answer:
You can find Owner Name by opening Menu: Start > Settings (> Personal ) > Owner Information (> Identification) on your Smartphone or Pocket PC. You will then need to look for the "Name" item.
If an owner name has not yet been assigned please enter at least 5 characters. It should not be changed later. If you change your owner name the registered program will no longer be able to work. When you install the registered program to a new device the same owner name must be used again.

Reason: Normal situation for version 1.0.28
Answer:
Please do the following before the new installation of the software:
1/ deactivate the program,
2/ delete the old version through the device settings menu,
3/ soft reset the device,
4/ start the CAB-file of the new version.
